Our Story
Live Inspired Brevard was established as a 501c3 nonprofit in 2024 to provide social support to individuals in Brevard County who thrive in community. Our vision is to provide a comforting place where people can connect with others to gain emotional support, as well as resources and education to help them manage their chronic health conditions and challenging life circumstances. Our organized peer support groups allow people to experience commonality with similar life circumstances and health conditions, find empathy discussing shared concerns, and gain motivation to practice effective coping methods. Our resource community offers access to a network of healthcare professionals, consultants, and experts who provide the means to conquer various issues or assist to develop the necessary life skills to thrive . . . and LIVE INSPIRED.

Christina Tecson, LCSW
FOUNDER / PRESIDENT, BOARD OF DIRECTORS
As a cancer survivor and licensed clinical social worker, Christina founded Live Inspired Brevard to better assist the many individuals she came in contact with through her work who were seeking a place to belong and feel accepted. Her experience with breast cancer as a young adult in 2015 led her to volunteer or join the staff at several cancer nonprofits and inspired her to pursue a Masters in Social Work. "I wanted to have the opportunity to have more meaningful connections with people and the experience to help them on a deeper level." Upon moving to Brevard County in 2018, Christina drew on her experiences, skills, and community connections to help develop a local cancer support community. With Live Inspired Brevard, she now facilitates support groups and develops a variety of social support, education, and creative expression programs for individuals affected by chronic health conditions.
Christina was selected as a “Hero of Hope” motivational speaker for American Cancer Society and an advocate for Living Beyond Breast Cancer’s national advocacy program for women diagnosed with breast cancer before age 45. Her career prior to social work encompassed 20 years in marketing and public relations, including several years working in the nonprofit sector. She has a Bachelors in Communications from Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame, Indiana and earned her MSW from Saint Leo University. When she is not practicing social work Christina enjoys watching Notre Dame football, writing, scenic walks, bonding with her dog Lucky, caring for her elderly mother, and spending time with her nephews and niece.
Meg Hamby
VICE PRESIDENT, BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Embracing life's challenges with grace and resilience, Margaret Hamby is a two-timer cancer survivor turned art creator, devoted to inspiring the community through support and positivity. Her background includes a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Georgia, multiple Masters degrees from Webster University and the University of Central Florida, and PhD work in Leadership at Barry University Retired educator and school principal. She is now enjoying the simple joys of family time, painting, literature, UGA football, and an endless curiosity for learning!
Deepika Yeldandi
TREASURER & SECRETARY, BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Deepika Yeldandi is an accounting professional with over 25 years of experience and the owner of her own Bookkeeping/Accounting firm. Deepika has experience working in not for profit companies, including serving on several Boards of Directors. She has been on the Board of a small not for profit and is currently on the Board of Directors for Accounting Finance Women's Alliance as the President of the Chicago Chapter, as well as on the Board of Directors for the AFWA Foundation. She is delighted to help Live Inspired Brevard as this mission and vision is close to her heart.
